The NCAA Central Region rankings announced Wednesday have Central Oklahoma fifth heading into the final weekend of play before selection Sunday. UCO (36-14) is off this weekend after exiting the MIAA Baseball Championship in the first round.

Residents of Perry and supporters of the Perry Wrestling community recently attended the ‘Meet and Greet’ for the new wrestling head coach, Mike Ryan. Ryan was hired by the Perry Board of Education in as special board meeting in April, and with him comes 34 years of experience.

Frontier Public Schools recently announced two track athletes were named State Champions and one other athlete set a new school record. Allen Jones, State Champions, also set a new school record with a high jump of six feet five inches.

A brilliant start from graduate right-hander Karlie Keeney and a six-run sixth inning powered the No. 2-ranked Oklahoma softball team to an 8-2 win over No. 4/4 Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon at Love’s Field, closing the final Big 12 Bedlam Presented by Phillips 66 series.
