Stephen Howard Miller, age 64, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. As an ordained Episcopal priest, his faith never wavered throughout his yearlong battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Stillwater.

Stephen was born in El Paso, Texas on October 16, 1959 to Martha (Puckett) and Terry Miller.

After his father finished military service, the family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma. His sister, Amy, was born in 1962. After high school and college, Stephen married Terry (Marler) and they had two amazing daughters, Lauren and Hannah. After finishing dental school, his little family moved back to Stillwater where Stephen joined his father’s dental practice. After his marriage to Terry ended, Stephen reconnected with an old classmate, Kimmie (Smith). They fell in love and married in 2002. Together they were blessed with a large and beautiful family. Stephen took over his father’s dental practice and continued as a trusted and respected dentist in Stillwater. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, relaxing in the pool on a hot summer day and spending time with his grandkids. He was adventurous, humorous and was never afraid to be himself. In addition to his dental career, Stephen studied to fulfill a lifelong dream to become a priest and maintained a strong relationship with his mentor and priest, Father Bill Powell throughout his life. He served as a bivocational priest for the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma and loved his parish, St. Mark’s church in Perry, with all of his heart. Stephen will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Kim, his children, Lauren Miller, Hannah (Jake) Rotelli, Regan (Dean) Hale, Greg (Sarah) Bradley, and Morgan (Brett) Anderson.
