Peter A. Tell III, 73, passed January 19, 2021 in Eureka Springs, AR.

During Pete’s 73 years he wore many hats, that of son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Fondly known by all family members as Poppa, Pete, was a soldier, street racer, western cowboy and outlaw historian, animal advocate and ball coach to the greatest Rag Tag Team to rise to the top from Perry, OK.

After 25 years of service as firefighter to the City of Perry he retired as Fire Chief. He then moved to Bullhead City, AZ where he worked and retired from his favorite job as casino security officer and lost and found.

From there Pete settled into life in Eureka Springs, AR, where he tackled the art of lawn mowing, log splitting, armadillo hunting and sitting in a rocker for hours on his porch with his beloved companion Sofie.

Pete made friends wherever he went. Family and friends were entertained by countless stories of his many adventures in life, which included his Vietnam tour of duty, his horses, dogs, race cars, jobs, his children’s escapades and funny quips of everyday life.
