Perry Study Club members
The first meeting of the 2021 year for Perry Study Club was hosted at the Zion Lutheran Church with a luncheon on Sept. 21.
Pam Sadler, corresponding secretary, read thank you notes from the scholarship recipients, Nicole Solis and from Friends’ University in Wichita, Kansas for Taylor Witter.
A request from the memorial foundation in memory of Brendon McLarty was received.
Members decided to donate $50 to the fund to help raise money for inhalers in the Perry Public Schools.
Norma Jerome, treasurer, explained two checks were written to our scholarship recipients of $750 each.
The club’s current balance is $2514.
Perry Study Club’s next meeting is Oct. 5, hosted at the Exchange Bank with the Chief of Police, Brian Thomas, as the program and he will speak on frauds and scams.
Voise reported we still need a hostess for the ‘Show Me’ Trip on April 19. Mary Louise suggested that Guthrie might be a place to investigate.
Two names for new members were suggested and will be considered at the next meeting.
