Ditch Witch and The Toro Company of Perry recently recognized Native American Heritage month by hosting leaders from the Cherokee, Kaw and Pawnee nations for a tour of the facility as well as an open discussion on how they can be a partner for their communities.

“Ditch Witch and The Toro Company have a long-standing focus on the importance of respect for all, in our workplaces, in how we conduct business, and in the communities we serve. We remain committed to partnering within our communities to help advance an environment of equality and inclusiveness for all,” a representative with Ditch Witch and the Toro Company remarked.

During the event, employees with Ditch With and The Toro Company learned more about area tribes, also engaged in workforce discussions.

It was commented they also ‘hope to partner with tribes to help find jobs for local individuals.’

“We had the chance to share about our company and what we do, and also to learn about tribes in our area and how they celebrate Native American Heritage Month. We were engaged in workforce discussions to help drive a partnership with local tribes and help with employment initiatives for people in our area.”
