On Feb. 18, I Marvin Elliott will be giving my testimony here at Perry Nazarene Church. Please come join me if you have a hurt, habit or hang-up, as I share for the first time my story about being diagnosed with lung cancer.

On Feb. 4 we had Jessica give her testimony with 16 in attendance. Her story of recovery is truly amazing. She shared how Celebrate Recovery has helped he find her way as well as becoming a women’s leader at Emanuel Baptist CR in Enid.

On Feb. 11, we had 11 to hear me present the lesson called Hope, this is where we learn that no matter how many times, we’ve fallen into sin God is always there for us and will forgive us and this is where we find hope.

When I was diagnosed with lung cancer, I really had to rely on having hope so I could stay positive and didn’t become bitter or play the blame game.

When we are in recovery, we can find ourselves blaming others instead of owning up to our past mistakes, which happens when we lose hope.

Celebrate Recovery gives us hope by seeing others finding recovery and them sharing their story of how God helped them find recovery.

If I didn’t have hope right now in my fight with cancer, I would really be a train wreck and it wouldn’t be good for me or anyone around me.

Don’t lose hope you have to have faith and it doesn’t have to be a lot, even the size of a mustard seed can move mountains!

Put your faith in Christ He can give you endless hope.

Grace and peace.
