We had 22 in attendance on Sept. 22, to hear our 19th lesson: Crossroads.

Principle 7: Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Step 10: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall.” ~ 1 Corinthians 10:12 It has been a long road to get this far in our recovery. We have opened up every part of our lives and shown them to God and shared with someone we trust.

We have taken inventory of our past and present lives, the good and the bad. We have opened up enough to see God at work in our lives and that He has always been there.

Crossroads is the lesson where we can see the top on this enormous mountain we have been climbing. Are we going to continue to work the steps and reach the top, or decide to take a break and gradually start to roll backwards?

“I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” ~ John 14:6 You must make the choice to continue working the step every day or it is just a slow slide back to where you have come from.

Crossroads is basically making a choice and sticking to it. By going over the threepoint acrostic for crossroads will help you continue forward, we call it “taking a TEN”.

T = Take time to do a daily inventory. E = Evaluate the good and the bad. N = Need to admit our wrongs promptly.

Asking yourself daily questions like: What good did I do today? What areas did I blow it? Do I own an amends?

“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.” ~ 1 John 1:8 On Sept. 29 we will serve dinner at 5:45pm. Our testimony at 6:30pm will be very special. We will be having mini 35min testimonies from all 9 graduates for this year’s 12 Step Study. It something our Randy came up with last year and I am excited to continue!

We all look forward to seeing you at 9th and Jackson Street.

“Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.” 2 John 1:8
