Frontier Public School Division 5 winners in the Noble County Conservation District poster contest were Alena Sly, 1st place local; Audrey Kincannon, 2nd place local; Daxton Crowell 3rd place local.
Perry City Council filled their membership with the approval of Mayor Bud Hollingsworth’s appointments of Richard Haynes and Jerry Cronin to fill the positions created by the death of Bob O’Holloran, and the resignation of Tim Bluma.

Navy Lieutenant John D. Bluethman, son of Mrs. John a Bluethman, was presented the Navy League of the United States Naval Justice award by Captain Donald J. Pepple, during graduation ceremonies at the Naval Justice school, Newport, R.I. He received the award for graduating first in his class from the military justice nonlawyer course. He studied principles and procedures of military law and is now qualified to perform the duties of a nonlawyer legal officer. Bluethman is a 1964 graduate of Perry high school and a 1968 graduate of Oklahoma State university.
