The Christmas season, otherwise known as the holiday season, the holidays, or the festive season, brings out a variety of annual traditions and festivities for families nationwide.

In Noble County, and the communities therein, churches celebrate the holidays with an array of events.

First United Methodist Church of Perry will be hosting a Children’s program on Sunday Dec. 5 and a Christmas dinner, Saturday, Dec. 25 at First United Methodist Church.

Perry Church of Christ will host a food basket distribution on Sunday, Dec. 19.

First Baptist Church of Perry will host their annual ‘Hanging of the Greens’ service on Sunday, Dec. 5. On Monday, Dec. 6, they will host a dinner for seniors and on Wednesday, Dec. 7 they will host a senior dinner.

On Thursday, Dec. 9, First Baptist Church will host a Senior Luncheon and on Thursday, Dec. 16, seniors will take a trip to see the Enid Christmas tree.

First Baptist Church will also host a caroling on Wednesday, Dec. 22 and a Christmas Eve Candlelight dinner at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24.

First Christian Church will host Caraway Street at 9:30 a.m. and Jesus’ Birthday Party at noon after worship service on Sunday, Dec. 5.

They will also have their live nativity scene the week before Christmas, from 6 - 8 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 21 - Friday, Dec. 24.

On Friday, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. First Christian Church will host a Christmas Eve Service.

First Presbyterian will host a Christmas Eve Dinner at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24.
